“ We had the opportunity to dine at Za Kantuni several times, but every time our eyes were quicker than the camera — we never managed to capture the beautiful dishes before they disappeared! The overall atmosphere, interior, and staff are all exceptional. You immediately feel at home. Everyone went out of their way to make our Sunday lunch truly wonderful. For starters, we ordered boškarin carpaccio (Istrian cattle), beautifully seasoned and served with toasted homemade focaccia. For the warm starters, we had a rich porcini mushroom soup and beef broth — everything was perfectly warm, flavorful, and authentically homemade. For the main course, we enjoyed red mullet with Swiss chard and potato, fried calamari, and I had boškarin tagliata with roasted vegetables. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, delicious, and delicately seasoned with aceto. There is no doubt this is one of the best restaurants we’ve ever eaten at.
